Rosscon Sunrise Class 1 seven year old Connemara stallion by Templebready Fear Bui out of Cooloo Lady by Westside Mirah. AHC 148cms .
Sunrise made his showing debut at the British Breed Show winning the three year old clot class and as four year old was a leading novice finishing the season with the great win at the Heritage Championships.
He was gold carded by the Horse and Hound as the one to watch and had the honour of being the Cover boy for the March edition that year. A very special memory that year was watching his young son winning his class and standing Champion foal at the National show in Clifden.
As a five year old Sunrise stood champion Ridden Stallion at Clifden show and finished the season standing Champion Ridden Stallion at the National Championships with a qualifier for the Olympia Semi Finals. The boy then took to the frill of the hounds on the Hunting field and the fun of show jumping became second nature.
This year has been a year I will never forget with twelve wins to his credit in a hotly contested season. He has qualified for all the championships in the riddens , workers and flats . With back to back wins of Champion Ridden Stallion at Royal Dublin and Clifden it has been some year. Hard to believe this chap has never stood in an RIHS or HOYS class the best is yet to come .
With Sunrise progeny in Belgium, France and the UK he is also a very commercial prospect for the concerned breeder.

He has sired 2 stallion sons in Germany, 1 stallion son in France at least 18 Stallion sons in Ireland. He has more than 300 offspring in 2007, 2009 and is sire of Reserve Junior Champion Clifden 2010, sire of Junior Champion Clifden 2007, sire of 2-y-o Reserve Champion Dublin Horse Show and 2010 belgian bred daughter competed at Pony Europeans eventing.
More recently progeny of Match have been succesfully competiting in the UK with 2 ponies quailifing for the NPS/Baileys Horse feeds M&M Ridden Connemara Of The Year 2013, Castle Admiral & The Camus Hero who also qualified for the prestigious final in 2011. Castle Admiral achieved 7th out of the 22 ponies that came forward to the final at the NEC, Birmingham, an amazing achivement considering he is only 5, hopefully the start of great things to come for this young stallion.
