Busy day at Rosscon as we said goodbye to Rosscon Private Jones, Killaloe Paddy and Zolton- Wishing them lots of good luck in the future, hopefully all champions in the making!
Rosscon Farm At HOYS
October, 2013
This October we made the short trip from Athlone Ireland to the NEC at Birmingham to watch the Connemara Ridden Final which was the first class of the show in the Caldene Arena.
We ware extremely proud to say that Castle Admiral whos sire is Fredrickminde Hazy Match came 7th out of the 22 ponies who had qualified for the final. This is fantstaic news at Admiral is only 5 years old so can't wait to see how he will do in the future.
Another Rosscon Farm garduate Blackwoodland Meadow who is now owned & ridden by Laura Mansell came 8th, which is a super result seeing as it was 'Reems' first HOYS.

What an amazing day at the Dublin Horse Show as Eoin Gaughan rode Rosscon Sunrise to perfection taking the Champion Ridden Connemara Stallion at the show. Thomasina O'Reilly made history with the wonderful Rosscon Camille and the gallop of a lifetime taking the Champion Connemara of the show. So pleased to have bred this mare , her dam and grand dam.
Sunrise won the Senior Riddens at Athenry

Sunrise won the Senior Riddens at Athenry ridden by Eoin Gaughan on Sunday . With a worker debut of two clear rounds booked his tickets for The Powers All Ireland and the All Ireland O 16 workers at Oughterard.
Rosscon Covergirl Reserve Supreme Champion

Our home bred Rosscon Covergirl was the star of the day at the North Easter Show today.
Not only did she win her mare class but then went on to be Champion Mare and finished the day with overall reserve supreme champion.
Castle Admiral Qualifies HOYS 2013 Sire Frederiksminde Hazy Match

Another Connemara pony by our stallion Fredrickminde Hazy Match is though to the Baileys NPS HOYS class at the NEC in October.
Admiral is owned and ridden by Katie Novell who owns Highleigh Stud along with her mother Sue.

Delighted with today at Kilronan Show as Sunrise came away with red ribbons yet again securing the M&M in hand championship and also going M&M Ridden Champion, beatuifully ridden by Eoin Gaugham

This morning we welcomed a new arrival at the farmwith a lovely new dun filly foal by Rosscon Sunrise out of Omey by Coosheen Stormboy out of a daughter of Villaga Grey.
Camus Hero Qualifies HOYS 2013

So delighted to say that another progeny of Fredricksminde Hazy Match has Qualified for the Connemara Ridden Final at Horse Of The Year Show.
Camus Hero is owned and ridden by Vanessa Clark who owns Chilham Connemara pony Stud. The gelding who qualified at Lincoln County Show also Qualified for the Roayl International Horse show. We wish them the best of luck at HOYS.
